Inner Wheel Club of Shimla Organises ‘Tejaswini’ Car Rally and ‘Fit Girls’ Project
Shimla, September , 2026: The Inner Wheel Club of Shimla, under International District 308, participated with great enthusiasm in the “Tejaswini” Car Rally, organised to celebrate women’s participation, confidence and empowerment. The rally witnessed an encouraging response, with around 15–20 cars participating in the event.
The rally was formally flagged off from Kasauli by SDM Shri Mahendra Pratap Singh Ji. The event created an energetic and inspiring atmosphere, highlighting the spirit of women’s participation and encouraging greater involvement of women in community and social initiatives.
Following the car rally, the Inner Wheel Club of Shimla also organised a joint “Fit Girls” project at Government School, Dharmapuri, under Zone 1, extending support to the volleyball team of DAV School, Kandaghat. The initiative focused on promoting health, nutrition, hygiene and participation in sports among girls, while also providing encouragement and necessary support to underprivileged and talented young girls.
As part of the service project, a volleyball kit was distributed to support the young players. The kit included shoes, track suits and volleyballs, providing the girls with essential sporting equipment and encouraging them to pursue their sporting interests with greater confidence and dedication.
The entire service project was successfully carried out under the guidance and gracious presence of District Chairman Mrs. Kiran Jain, ZC Mrs. Sangeeta Trehan and ZCC Mrs. Anju Bala Pubyal. Their guidance and support contributed significantly to the successful organisation of both the rally and the service initiative.
Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Shimla participated enthusiastically in the Tejaswini Car Rally and extended their active support towards making the “Fit Girls” project a meaningful and successful initiative. The project reflected the club’s commitment to promoting the overall development, health and empowerment of young girls through community service and sports.
The club members who attended the programme included President Dr. Kusha Pandit Chawla, Secretary Ashmita Shukla, Joint Secretary Priyanka Vats and Inner Wheel Member Tarnjit Kaur Bhogal.
Through initiatives such as the Tejaswini Car Rally and Fit Girls project, the Inner Wheel Club of Shimla reaffirmed its commitment to encouraging women’s participation, promoting healthy lifestyles and creating opportunities for young girls to develop their talents through sports and community support.
