Directs sanctioning of pending cases in 15 days time

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza who is also Chairman of DLRC/DCC today, presided over 77th District Level Review Committee/ District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting at Conference Hall Budgam.
The meeting was convened by the convener DLRC Lead District Manager (LDM) Budgam, Farhat Manzoor.
Presenting the highlights of the performance of all the Banks of the district for Quarter ending September-30, 2021, LDM said the Budgam has recorded a CD ratio of 97. 50 percent for quarter ending September, 2021, which reflects as one of the best ratio in UT of Jammu and Kashmir. Pertinent to mention here is that the benchmark of CD ratio as per RBI guidelines is 60 percent.
Regarding other statistics, Farhat revealed that the advances have recorded a positive year on year growth of Rs 367,80 crores having risen from Rs 3025. 85 crore (as on September, 2020) to Rs. 3393.65 crores (as on September, 2021), while as the deposit figure has recorded a growth of Rs. 315.97 crores from Rs. 3164.77 crores (September, 2020) to Rs. 3480.74 crores (September 2021), thus recording 12.18 percent and 9.98 percent growth respectively.
During this Financial Year up to Quarter September 2021, the district has been able to disburse a total amount of Rs.840.25 crores out of which Rs.503.05 crores has been disbursed in priority against the annual target of Rs.1494.72 crores and Rs.337.55 crores has been disbursed in the non priority sector against the annual target of Rs.378.53 crores.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that action shall be taken against banks and line departments for delaying the cases without any justification. He instructed that line departments shall hand hold the youth aspiring for self employment and take on board all concerned banks while accepting and sponsoring the cases for approval. 
He instructed all concerned to ensure timely disbursement and sanctioning of cases besides directed that all pending cases should be cleared in 15 days time period.
Stressing on self employment promotion among women, the DC instructed concerned to bring and counsel more and more female entrepreneurs under Tejaswani Scheme.
Directions were given to the concerned on holding financial literacy camps and self employment awareness camps in all areas and full support is provided to the candidates aspiring to establish self employment ventures.
He said credits and lending shall be focused to generate employment opportunities as well as it shall prove a pivotal aspect in increasing farmers’ income.
The DC further said that in a joint activity all concerned from Banks, Horticulture, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry alongwith all beneficiaries shall attend a camp at DC office where cases related to these departments shall be sanctioned in one go.
He said that he shall take strict review of performances and any tardy approach by Banks or line departments shall be viewed seriously for which action under rules shall follow.
The meeting among others was also attended by AGM RBI, Ruchar, GM DIC Mohammad Ashraf, Cluster Head J&K Bank Budgam, Director RSETI Budgam, FLCC Budgam, District coordinators of the banks and heads of line departments.
