The President Of India, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind Has Asked All The State Governments To Take Full Support Of Government And Non-Governmental Organizations, Social And Religious Organizations To Tackle The Corona Threat.

  • Chandigarh  - The President of India, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind has asked all the State Governments to take full support of government and non-governmental organizations, social and religious organizations to tackle the Corona threat.
  •           The President said this while presiding over a review meeting, regarding the preparedness to tackle COVID-19, with the Governors and Lieutenant Governors of the States and Union Territories today from Rashtrapati Bhavan over video conferencing. 
  • During the first session, the President spoke to the Governors of Maharashtra, Kerala, and Karnataka including Haryana and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. He reviewed with the governors of a total of 15 states in two sessions today. He thanked the people of the country for their cooperation in dealing with the Corona epidemic and also congratulated the doctors, policemen, officers, employees of other departments and also those involved in this task.
  • Also on this occasion, Vice President of India, Mr. Venkaiah Naidu reviewed the status of the various states in regard to COVID-19 and gave necessary directions. He appreciated the efforts made by the Haryana Government to deal with the pandemic in the State.
  • Giving information about the work done by the Haryana Government in dealing with the threat Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya said that Haryana is fully prepared to deal with this medical crisis. He said that the State Government has also announced an financial package for poor, daily wagers, rickshaw drivers, and street vendors in the event of an outbreak in the State.
  • Mr. Arya said that masks, hand sanitizers, and medicines are being distributed by the Haryana Red Cross Society in every district. Free ambulance service is being provided to bring the poor patients to the hospital and along with the help of the self-help social organizations of the Red Cross, the poor, homeless, destitute, laborers and other needy are getting dry ration and packaged food. Apart from this, teams of 200 volunteers have also been formed in each district, which are supporting the administration in every task.
  • He said that directions have been given to the Red Cross functionaries and all the volunteers associated with the organization to ensure an adequate supply of food items and medicines etc. to the poor and needy people in rural areas also
