Chandigarh  – Haryana, Director, Information, Public Relations, and Languages, Mr. P.C. Meena said the responsibility of providing accurate information to the people regarding COVID-19, and providing information about the efforts being made by the District Administration is on the shoulders of the Public Relations Department. He said that the department should provide exact and timely information.

While speaking to the DIPROs across the state through video-conferencing in Chandigarh here today, Mr. Meena said that essential commodities like fruits, vegetables, food items, and medicines are being made available by the District Administration, and it is important to provide this information to the people. Therefore, we have to ensure that people do not face inconvenience and information about the arrangements made by the District Administration should reach every person.

          He said that at such a time, people want the exact information about the situation, so all district information and public relations officers should issue information from their respective districts every day. This is done so that people get the right information about the number of infected people. He said that in every district, a plan is issued daily regarding essential commodities. Therefore, these daily plans should be sent to media organizations for the benefit of the people.

          Additional director of the department Mr. Kuldeep Saini said that maximum use of social media should be done for the dissemination of information. Important information should be sent to every officer of the department in the district so that through various groups so that it reaches the common people immediately.

          He directed that all the District Information and Public Relations Officers should ensure the attendance of the employees according to the need in their office. He said that sanitizers and masks etc. should be made available to the officers and employees with a view to protect them. He directed that no DPRO should leave his headquarters during this time of crisis
