DDC Doda inaugurates 2nd decontamination cum sanitization tunnel at Assar
Asks concerned to maintain strict vigil at entry points
DODA- District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode along with SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed today inaugurated the 2nd decontamination cum sanitization tunnel at Assar to ensure that every vehicle and individuals who enter the district will be properly sanitized at the Assar entry point, the only road entry point to Doda and Kishtwar district from Jammu as well as from Kashmir.
DDC said that the district administration is taking various initiatives to contain the spread of Covid-19 in the district. He appealed the people to adopt all the requisite guidelines and cooperate with the administration in this regard.
The facility has been procured by district administration and aims at renewing the efforts to combat the spread of the virus.
During the visit, DDC also verified visitors register maintained at entry point and other screening measures that have been put in place to combat spread of Covid-19. He also directed the deputed officials to ensure stringent screening of the inbound visitors to prevent any eventuality.
President MC Doda, Ved Prakash Gupta, Technical Officer Executive Engineer PHE, Fayaz Ahmed Mehta, CAO Shahid Iqbal, DSWO Zubair Ahmed besides other concerned were present on the occasion.
