DDC Poonch charts strategy for nomadic migration
POONCH- District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav today convened a meeting to chart out a strategy for the annual migration of nomad people from lower altitude regions to higher altitude regions.
The meeting was attended by SSP Ramesh Angral, ACR Zafar Banday, Chief Sheep and Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr Ismail, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Rahul and other concerned.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to conduct proper route checkout and identify checkpoints for proper check up of all the nomads who will migrate to higher regions.
He directed the Chief Sheep and Animal Husbandry Officer to inform the nomadic people regarding the routes.
He further said that the nomad people should avoid red zones during the migration keeping in view of the current situation of COVID-19 pandemic.
