The Guardians of Governance (GoG) would render their services to the District Administration in order to ensure that there are no difficulties in implementing the provisions of curfew imposed owing to corona virus. This was disclosed here today by the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan.

He also said that the GoGs would perform various functions including making sure that the social distancing guidelines are observed in the banks during the public dealing time. They would also coordinate with the District Lead Bank Manager and concerned elected representatives. Besides, the GoGs would also keep strict eye on those people who are undergoing home quarantine and ensure that they complete the home quarantine period. They would coordinate with the SDMs, local police and elected representatives and submit daily report to the concerned SDM.

As the wheat procurement season is about to begin, the GoGs would ensure that the farmers and labourers don't face any problem besides observing social distancing guidelines.
